Twin City Bank (TCB) opened in 1904 in North Little Rock, Arkansas. TCB's initial mission was to provide payroll services to the employees of the then newly independent city of North Little Rock.
Over the years, the bank grew to be a statewide organization and a force in the financial industry. In the 1990s a series of out-of-state banking organizations purchased and sold the bank, which went through several name changes. It was during this series of mergers and acquisitions that the bank also lost its hallmark – a high degree of personal service.
In the late 90s, a group of former Twin City Bank customers discussed forming a new bank. They envisioned a bank that returned to the former TCB philosophy of being customer-driven and providing a high degree of service. The organizers formed the new Twin City Bank. Many of the original officers and staff of the old TCB formed the nucleus of the new bank, and added many fine bankers from other financial institutions in Central Arkansas.
Since June 2000, TCB has set a state record for “organic” growth (growth without mergers or acquisitions.) The bank has also compiled a record number of branches built in one year (7 in 2003) and has been honored by several business and community organizations for its contributions to Central Arkansas.
TCB has been recognized by Arkansas Business, a weekly business newspaper, as Business of the Year, by the Martin Luther King Commission as Corporate Citizen of the Year and the North Little Rock Chamber as Business of the Year.
VISION
To be recognized as the
premier bank in the communities we serve.
MISSION
Dedicated to exceeding the expectations of our
customers, our partners, and our associates while
enriching the communities we serve.
COMMUNITY SERVICE AND INVESTMENT
At TCB we believe that one important difference between our bank and those owned by out of state institutions in the portion of our Mission statement – “enriching the community we serve.” We are, in fact, a part of our community. We live here, work here and play here.
This important distinction of community involvement is demonstrated by each of our locations partnering with a public school, supporting non-profit organizations within their territories and adopting a street in their neighborhood.
On any given Saturday, you will find TCB Bankers patrolling and cleaning their adopted streets. You will also find them during the workweek at their partner school supporting teachers in the classroom. And you find numerous TCB associates at major and minor non-profit and community events lending support and manpower to these important initiatives.
TCB invests nearly $100,000 in community and non-profit organizations every year, putting literally our time, efforts and money where we live.
