BACKGROUND:
Twin City Bank and local barbers and stylists will be treating young men to a free haircut and school supplies as they prepare for the new school year. Haircuts will begin at 2:00pm and continue to 6:00pm at New Tyler Barber College.
This year marks Twin City Bank’s sixth sponsorship of CUT-N-BACK 2 Class. In 2003, the first year of the event, over 200 students were assisted. “CUT-N-BACK 2 Class” is a project that was originally organized by Twin City Bank associate Ivan Hardamon after identifying a community need,” stated Tom Steves, Director or Public Relations at Twin City Bank. “Twin City Bank has made it part of our mission to serve our customers and community continuously and it is opportunities like these that really get us excited,” Steves continued.
“Every student deserves the materials they need for school. We want them to enjoy the self confidence that a fresh haircut can provide and our best wishes for an outstanding academic year,” stated Bob Birch, Twin City Bank President. “It is a Twin City Bank philosophy to make every day with our bank a great day including the first day of school.”
